It's been confirmed that Volume 10 of RWBY is still not greenlit despite the greenlight being obtained for Camp Camp and Red vs. Blue. In spite of this, storyboards for Volume 10 content have been made, showing the non-RWBYJ cast members mourning them in Vacuo and building a monument for them only for them to actually show up. It's about 6 minutes long.
Since I fell for that crap before with the Volume 9 sneak peak, I'm not gonna bother to spork it until the final word on Volume 10 happens. Which, the way it's looking, it probably won't. Rooster Teeth is clearly desperate given they've officially adopted the #greenlightvolume10 hashtag on twitter.

Date: 2023-07-08 08:36 pm (UTC)From:Honestly, on the one hand, I do think people (fans and detractors alike) deserve to have a proper conclusion to RWBY, but on the other hand, given how Rooster Teeth has treated their workers horribly, I don’t think Rooster Teeth deserves a volume 10. I mean, hell, them having problematic implications in RWBY would be one thing because everything does (mostly because writers aren’t usually intentionally malicious and usually just do it by accident. I know Season Eight of Game of Thrones is a good example; the writers, from interviews, seemed to believe they were genuinely showing how war is hell and how Daenerys wasn’t a terrible person and just someone who finally lost her shit, but, of course, it wasn’t executed well onscreen given how the Internet went berserk), but when it’s combined with people who treat people horribly in real life, then I’m less inclined to be forgiving. Like, I can forgive a creator whose works I don’t like if they seem like a fundamentally decent person in real life, but Miles and Kerry definitely seem to be the types who, well, for example, allow bigoted bullying at their workplace. (Hell, I think they’re worse than how people portray Kathleen Kennedy of Lucasfilm; she could be an idiot sometimes, but she never intentionally allowed the psychological abuse of people under her care)
Honestly, I don’t think I can be okay with RWBY trying to pass off Bumbleby as good lesbian rep while also treating their workers like shit. It just feels like hypocrisy. And cruelty.
