There's some moralizing about what balance is and isn't, which leads us to this shot:
I can see the point of this, that you need to actually care about someone enough to make compromises with them and sacrifice some of your own wants and desires for their sake, rather than making arbitrary rules which you would gladly break if you thought you could get away with it.
The trouble is, actually there are two troubles with this, the first being that Team RWBY have never had to compromise with one another on anything because they're practically a hive mind who always have the same thoughts and opinions, the one exception being Ruby's breakdown in this volume.
The other problem being that it takes a lot of brass neck to talk about balance coming from love the episode after everyone was smiling and hugging poor ol' Jaune moments after Ruby just killed herself!
