The homophobic Ruby memes might've been mildly enjoyable for how difficult they were to take seriously, kind of like the Pearl Hates The Irish meme, if I didn't know about how many people took them at face value. RWBY is a very strange phenomenon where its fandom tosses accusations of homophobia at pretty much everything but the writers, who would probably write Ruby as a fundamentalist Christian if they thought they could get away with it.
